Second Grade Engineers Build "Salamander Crossings"

Second grade engineers built "salamander crossings" to allow the salamanders to cross from their winter grounds to the spring pond they have their babies in. The problem was that humans built a road in between the two areas. Students had to think creatively about how to get salamanders safely across without interfering with traffic. It is a based on a problem that the Middlesex New Jersey has been trying to rectify for the last 20 years.
